The former Eagle & Child, Leighton BuzzardLocation: 1-3-5 Market Square
History: Dating from 17th Century, this tavern developed into a large and important inn in the town during the next Century. The buiding was completely rebuilt in the 1750s. However, by the 19th century its trade was in decline and by the early 1800s it ceased trading. It was converted to a house and a Chemists Shop. It now houses Offices, Chemists Shop (Lloyds Pharmacy) and Opticians (P G Allder & Partners).
