Cock Hotel

Location: Woburn Road
History: The hotel was orginally run by Thomas Reeve as the Cock beer shop. Until more recent years it had been known as the Cock Horse, but has now changed back to the Cock.

Location: Watling Street
History: The pub was previously known as the Fox & Hounds, but was renamed in the late 1990s as the Flying Fox, when it was refurbished and a thatched extension added.

Red Lion

Location: Woburn Road
History: The pub was mentioned in documents in 1780, when William Bates was the victualler. This pub was later rebuilt as shown in the first photo below. In approximately 2003 the pub finally closed and has been subsequently altered as part of a housing development called Red Lion Court. In the development the interior of the building was entirely rebuilt and extensions added to both ends of the building (see the second photo below)

Location: Heath Road, Leighton Buzzard. This has been listed in Heath & Reach as before boundary changes in the 1900s this pub was actually in Heath & Reach
History: First appears as a public house at the beginning of the19th Century, and was known as The Star and Garter, however shortly after it was renamed The Star.
