The Peacock Inn, Leighton BuzzardLocation: 1-3 Lake Street
History: The Peacock Inn is reputedly Leighton's oldest inn. Its name though first appears in documents in the late 17th Century, when the inn was owned by members of the Peacock family. It finally closed in 1979, when it was converted to a shop in the newly named Peacock Mews.
