The Bell, Leighton Buzzard

Location: 10 Market Square
History: This Inn dates back to the 15th Century, its deeds dating to the reign of Henry VII. In the 18th century it was owned by Leighton's famous diarist, John Salusbury. The building was severely damaged by a fire in 1911 which also affected neighbouring buildings. For a period in the mid 20th Century it was known as The Market Tavern.
