In the Name of God Amen the seaventh day of Aprill One Thousand six hundred ninety two I John Gladman of Laighton Bussard in the County of Bedf[ord] Draper being weake of body, and of perfect memory and understanding praised be Almighty God for the same Doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner following first I resigne my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my mercifull Creator and concerneing my worldly estate I dispose thereof as followeth I give and bequeath unto James Gladman my brother and to his heires forever All that Cottage or Tenement with the appurtenances wherein William Lawly and William Pryor now dwell scituate and being in Laighton Bussard aforesaid the messuage of Luke Smith on the North part thereof with their and every of their appurtenances to the use and behoof of the said James Gladman my brother his heires ans assignes forever, I give and bequeath unto John Gladman my Cosen late son of Thomas Gladman my late brother deceased the sume of Fifty pounds of lawfull money of England which is oweing to me, by William Duncombe my brother in law upon bond I give and bequeath unto Richard Gladman my brother the sume of Ten pounds of lawfull money of England I give and bequeath to my sister Duncombe twenty shillings to buy her a ring to weare in my remembrance I give and bequeath to my brother William twenty shillings to buy him a ring to weare in my remembrance, all the rest of my goods and chattells monye plate monye due upon mortgage and all other my personall estate I give and bequeath unto Anne my deare and loveing wife whom I make and ordaine my full and whole Executrix to see this my will performed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and I hereby revoke and make void all former wills by \mee/ made, and declare these presents to be my last will and testament and have hereunto sett my hand and seale the Day and yeare first within written John Gladman. Signed, sealed published and declared to be the last will and testament of the within named John Gladman in the presence of us whose names are hereunder written who subscribed our names in the presence of the said Testator John Marsh Thomas Veere Jeremiah Adams Thomas Lawley /.
