In the name of God Amen I Nathaniell Straight of
Layton Buzzard in the County of Bedford Malster being ill and weake
of Body but of perfect sence and memory thankes be to God therefore
and considering the uncertainety of this life and the certainety
of death and desireing to settle things in order doe therefore
make and ordaine this my present last Will and Testament in writing
in manner and forme following First and principally and above all
Earthly things I yeild my Soule to God that made it trusting in
and through the death and Passion of my Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ to have full and true pardon and forgivenesse of all my
sinns and that I may enioy life everlasting with the Elect and
Chosen people of God in the Kingdome of heaven and for my body
to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter
named And for my Worldly Estate as the Lord of his Mercies hath
lent me I give and Bequeath the same as followeth Item I give and
Bequeath unto Henry Straight of Kensworth my kinsman the sum of
Twenty pounds of Lawfull money of England to be paid soone after
my decease Item I give and Bequeath unto Mary Burges late wife
of Samuell Burges deceased my Kinsman the sum of Twenty pounds
of Lawfull money of England to be paid soone after my decease Item
I give and Bequeath to Thomas Busby who Married my Sisters Daughter
the like sum of Twenty pounds to be paid soone after my decease
Item I give and bequeath to Thomas King my kinsman who marryed
my Sisters Daughter the like sum of Twenty pounds of like lawfull
money of England to be paid soone after my decease Item I give
and bequeath unto Henry Taylor who married one other of my Sisters
Daughters the like sum of Twenty pounds of like lawfull money of
England to be paid soone after my decease Item I give and bequeath
unto Anne Straight my kinswoman the like sum of Twenty pounds of
Lawfull money of England to be paid in the like manner soone after
my decease Item I give and Bequeath to Susan Straight my Kinswoman
the like sum of Twenty pounds of like lawfull money of England
to be paid soone after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto
the said Ann Straight and Susan Straight the sum of Fourescore
pounds a peece over and above the aforesaid severall Two Twenty
pounds a peece Item I give and bequeath unto Joane my wife my best
Bedsted Fether Bed Fether Bolster Curtaines and vallence Blanketts
and the Rugg and Fether Pillows and all other my houshold goods
whatsoever Item I make and ordaine my said Kinsman Henry Straight
my whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and
I give and bequeath unto him all and singuler my goods and Chattells
not herein before bequeathed Chargeing him to pay my said Legacies
and Debts and performe this my Will according to the true intent
and meaning thereof and I doe hereby make voyd all former wills
by me made In Witnesse whereof the said Nathaniel Straight have
to this my Will sett my hand and seale this Eighth day of June
in the First yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord and Lady
William and Mary by the grace of God of England Scotland France
and Ireland King and Queen defenders of the faith &c. Annoq[ue]
D[om]in[i] one thousand Six Hundred Eighty Nine Nathaniel Straight
his marke Sealed and Published by the said Nathaniel Straight for
his last Will and Testam[en]t in the presence of Thomas Foster
