In the name of Amen. The xiijth daye of
Januarye in the yere of our lorde god a thousand fyve hundreth
fiftie and eight. I George Banaster of Laighton Buszard in the
Countie of Bedford w[i]t[h]in the dioces of Lincoln beinge hole
of mynde and in good perfecte Remembrance lawde and prayse be unto
all myghte god make and ordeyne this my present testament contenyng
herein my last will in maner and forme followinge that is to say
First I comende my soule unto allmyghtie god my maker and Redemer
and unto his blessed mother Saincte Marie and all the holie companye
of heaven and my bodie to be buried in the myddle space of the
Churche of Leighton aforesaid ./. Item I bequeath to the mother
churche of Lincoln ijd . . And unto the highe aulter
of Layghton xijd . . Item I will that there shalbe bestowed
at my buriall xls and at my monethes mynde xxvjs viijd
. And at my yeres mynde xxvjs viijd . . Item
I will xxs to be delte in the towne that I was borne
. . Item I bequeath unto John Wedon my godson xxs ./.
Item I bequeath to Jane Moncke xs and unto her sister
M[ar]gett vjs viijd. Item I bequeath to Jane
Farmor xxs ./. Item I bequeth to George Mylnars my godson
vjs viijd. Item I bequeath to everie godchilde
that I have xijd a peece . . Item I bequeath to everie
servant beinge in my yeres s[er]vice at my departing vs a
peece besides ther wages . . Item I bequeath to Will[ia]m Malber
my kinsman xxli ./. The residue of my goodes not bequeathed
my debts and legacies paid my funerall expences discharged and
this my last will fulfilled I give and bequeath to Edmonde Bolsworth
my sonne in lawe whome I make and ordeyne to be my full executor
of this my last will and testament ./. Also I will that Will[ia]m
Holland bayliff of Layghton and John Moncke of Chessham shalbe
ov[er]seers of this my last will and testament ./ Theise being
