In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Coles of Rach
in the Parrish of Laighton Bussard in the County of Bedford Widdowe
beinge of perfect health and memory praysed bee god doe make and
ordaine my last will and Testament in manner and forme Followinge
Inprimis I bequeath my soule into the hands of Allmighty god my
maker who gave it to mee hopeinge only through the merritts of
Jesus Christ my Savio[ur] to have a Joyfull resurection at the
last day to immortall glory And my body I bequeath to the Earth
to bee decently buryed at the discretion of my Executor at Laighton
aforesayd And as for my worldly goods which god hath lent mee I
bequeath as Followeth Item I give to Abraham Mumford sonne of
my sister Joane five pounds to be payd within a twelve moneth after
my decease Item I give to my brother John Collings his three Children
Twenty shillings a peece Item I give to Susanna Collinges daughter
of Henry Collinges of Hockley Forty shillings Item I give to my
Cosen Elizabeth Stephens her two Children Forty shillings a peece
to bee payd within a twelve moneth after my decease Item I give
to Mary Beauchampe widdow my grandchild five pounds to bee payd
within twelve moneths after my decease Item I give to Elizabeth
now wife of John Allen my grandchild all my household stuffe and
five pounds in monie to bee payd within the time aforesayd Item
to Elizabeth Allen her daughter six pounds to bee payd within the
time aforesayd Item I give to the seaven Children of my Cosen John
Collings of Baddlesden Forty shillings a peece Item I give to Jane
the daughter of the saide John Collings Five pounds Item I give
to George Felse my neighbour Forty shillings to bee payd within
the time aforesaide Item I give to the poore of Heath and Reach
Tenn shillings Item I give to Nicholas Taylor his three Children
Twentye shillings a peece to bee payd within the time aforesayd
Item all the Rest of my goods and Chattles unbequeathed my debts
and legacies being payd I bequeath and give to John Collinges of
Baddlesden aforesayd my Cosen whom I doe make sole Executor of
this my last will and Testament revoakeinge all former wills. Witnes
my hand and seale this Tenth day of October one thousand six hundred
Fifty and foure: Elizabeth Coles her marke Sealed and subscribed
in the presence of Impey: John Allen his marke.
