Dated this xvth of November A[nn]o D[o]m[ini] 1641
In the name of God Amen, I Elizabeth Cartwrit of Heath in the parrish of Leighton Bussard and County of Bedford widdowe doe make this my last will and Testament in mann[er] and forme following Imprimis I give and bequeath my soule to god that gave it and to Jesus Christ my Redeemer and the holy ghost my Comforter and my body to the earth from whence yt tooke yt. And as for my worldly goodes I bestowe them in manner and forme followeing Imprimis I give to Richurd Barret that ten pound \w[hi]ch/ he oweth me and hath already in his owne hand Item I give Thomas Deane of Leighton twenty shillinges Item I give to Phill the wife of William Geeves twenty shillinges. Item I give to John Taylor the board that lye over the loft and the rest of the Rente behinde \yet/ unpaied I give to the Children of John Taylor Lastly I give to Sarah Barrett all my goodes and Chattles moveable and unmoveable my debtes and legacies Paid and funerall discharged which Sarah I make my executrix of this my last will and Testament In wittnes whereof I have setto my hand Elizabeth Cartwrit mark Wittnesses Willia[m] Rawlins mark Thomas Botley
