May the 17th Anno D[o]m[ini] 1629
In the name of God
Amen I Thomas Attwell al[ia]s Wells of Egginton in the parish of
Laighton Bussard in the Countie of Bedf[ord] yeoman sicke in
bodie but of perfect memory thankes bee to god, doe make my last
will and testament in manner and forme followinge. First I bequeath
my soule unto god who gave it trusting to bee saved by the onely
merritts of Christ my saviour And my bodie to the earth whence
it came to bee buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter
menconed in the Churchyard of the Mother Church of Laighton aforesaid
It[em] I give and bequeath to Anne my daughter Three score poundes
of lawfull English money to bee paid when she shall accomplish
the full age of one and twentie yeares if the said Anne soe longe
shall live my said wife Blaudina? findinge meate, drinke, and
other necessaries It[em] I give and bequeath to my sonne Thomas
twenty shillinges to bee paid when he shall come to the age of
one and twenty yeares It[em] all the rest of my goodes and Chattells
unbequeathed I give and bequeath to Blaudina my wife my debts
and legacies beinge paid and \my/ funerall expences discharged
whom I make my sole Executrix to see this my last will performed
In witnes whereof I the said Thomas Atwell al[ia]s Wells have
setto my hand and seale the daie and yeare abovewritten Theis
beinge witnesses whose names are hereunder written Thomas Atwell
his marke Michaell Barker Curate Richard Andrew.
